Life lessons from the small ant

Yes, I know I can hear you saying, “what can an ant teach me?” Well let me tell you it can teach you a lot. Evidently you don’t watch ants work do you?

1. Ants think big
Ants can seem like one of the most insignificance pests on the planet because of their minute size. But the colonies they build and the contribution to their society is extremely significant and great.
What big dreams and do you have for your future? Pursue and achieve those.Let me tell you no matter how small you think you are, you should always pursue something bigger than yourself. If your dream isn’t bigger than you, then you need to dream bigger!

2. Ants know their limits
Ants can handle up to 100 times their weight. They know their limitations and what their tiny legs can handle. Very often we turn into the ‘yes man/woman’ and commit to things that we are not gifted to do and take on responsibilities that we struggle to fulfill. All we need to do is know our boundaries and strengths. Just know when to say “this isn’t my cup of tea.”

3. Ants show selfless unity
Ants have the “spirit” of sharing. As soon as they learn of something,
they share it with others. Ants never eat alone. Whenever they find food they share it with others. Whenever humans find brain food (knowledge) they should do the same and not hoard.

4.Ants are extremely disciplined
Think of this old song
The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah.
The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah.
The ants go marching one by one,
The little one stopped to suck his thumb,
(chorus)
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain.
The ants go marching two by two, hurrah, hurrah.
The ants go marching two by two, hurrah, hurrah.
The ants go marching two by two,
The little one stopped to tie his shoe,
(chorus)
The ants go marching three by three, hurrah, hurrah.
The ants go marching three by three, hurrah, hurrah.
The ants go marching three by three,
The little one stopped to climb a tree,

Although the little one stopped it never got out of order.

5.Ants are good planners
Ants know how to maximize their time. Ants prepare in their food in Summer because they know that there will be a time when there will be no food to find in winter time. Failing to plan is planning to fail. Ants are constantly preparing for a season which is yet to come. When you should be reading personal development books you are busy watching reality TV and when you should be working you’re on Instagram communicating with friends. Your priorities can sometimes be driven by what you feel like doing and not by what the most important priority.

Whenever you are faced with a battle think of what “ant” means.
Attitude of initiative
Nature of integrity
Thirst for industry

Proverbs 6:6
New Living Translation
Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and become wise!
