Kevin Hart said it best when he said, “learn to brand yourself. People you can be whatever you want to be in your life.” The only limitation we have is our mindset. See as an innovative edupreneur who has failed and wasted so much time trying to find my niche, when it was right in front of me. I knew it all along but I just did not embrace it. I am more than qualified to tell you that one of the best modern day teachers is Kevin Hart. See he has the “hart” and experience to be an example of perfect transformational branding.
Before I get in depth, I want to ask you a few questions.
-Do you respond to different situations the same way you would have years ago?
-Have life experiences contoured your perspective?
-Do you have the same interests?
I bet you all of my student loan debt that you have changed.
What does this mean?
This means that the brand or business you started over 7 years ago has evolved. Primarily because shift happens.
Let me ask you something else.
Have you discovered your passion?
Do you have multiple interests?
More than one thing you would like to innovate or create?
Come on be honest. I know I have.
I want to make tea cups. Create collaborative work centers for youth and women entrepreneurs. Open an afterschool center for youth with disabilities. Take people on trips plus triple the amount of money I give away monthly.
Help women build brands. Teach seasoned adults how to use technology. (Hold up. I will be doing this at Emory University and Kennesaw State University.)
Learn a language a year (Currently taking French)
See friends, buddy ol’ pal, I want to introduce you to one of my best friends and mentor (Okay. Okay. He is not my best friend in real life. But hek we are both fellow Cancers and almost the same height).
Kevin Hart , a 5’2 talented actor and comedian who decided that in order to advance and improve his craft, he would need to invest more time into his craft; have a winning team and vision.
In Romans 12:6-8, it says
6.We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith;
7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach;
8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
See he knew his gift, so therefore he knew what he had to do to grow.

Kevin and his team worked to build a stage in which we could see all of his 5’2 greatness. Having a stage has its benefits. A stage is a raised floor or platform, typically in theater or which people can perform.
A keyword in the definition of stage is a platform. Yes platform has been the buzzword in the current presidential campaign. So I am sure you get my gist.
A platform can be a launch pad for other things. A platform provides a conversational piece and a raised level of consciousness.
In order for Kevin to endure the various tours for us to be able to laugh at his pain, he had to be in shape physically. Hence the birth of this love for fitness. See his passion for fitness plus his platform awarded him the opportunity to be the first minority comedian and actor to land a shoe deal with Nike. I remember watching him invite people out to work out and run with him in various parks.
Overtime, it grew and it was noticed by Nike. He wasn’t focused on money but health and his passion were both elevated because of his platform.
That is a perfect example of using your gifts and watching the money come.
Here are 4 more ways you are going to learn today from Kevin Hart.
Rome wasn’t built overnight. With every success story comes a plot twist of a struggle. Before we knew Kevin Hart who sells out the Staple Center, it was “Lil Kev the Bastard” performing on the small stage at The Laff House in Philadelphia. He started small and endured the boos and chicken bones being thrown.In an interview a while back, he admitted that he struggled because he was unsure who he was. Success will never come if you are being a carbon copy of someone. Your success is yours and theirs is theirs. Focus on your God given gifts and talents. Those tools are some of the only things you will need to get to the next level.
Endure and remain persistant
Kevin Hart caught major heat for his role in Soul Plane. The movie was called one of the worst of all time. But he used this biggest disappointment as his biggest blessings. No matter the obstacles he met, he let persistence push him towards greatness.
Outgrow people. It is okay.
He experienced a public divorce with the mother of his two children, Torrei. They outgrew each other. It is okay to outgrow people who are no longer meant to be apart of your life. As you grow, your circle will surely shrink. It happens. Change is a part of life.
Work your butt off
Wealth is a result of a great work ethic. Complacency is not an option. Make your dream manifest. It will always be a dream until you work to make it happen.
When you establish a solid branding platform, you can ask What Now?
